WP 6.9 was released by Matt Mullenweg and the open source community. During the show the presented the main new features of WP, such as:

  • Gutenberg improvements
    Navigation, accordions, image editing, notes to team etc.
  • AI and WP
  • Playground and developer tools
State of the Word, SF 2025.

The Gallery Block

Now you can create a gallery by drag and drop. Drag an imager to antother image, and they will stay in line. In the settings you can edit the number of columns. As always the galleries are responsive.

The images should appear side by side, but it looks like a bug and not like the demo in State of the Word.

Navigation

The Navigation Block has improved a lot. Now it’s easy to use. You can add navigation blocks everywhere.

Playground

Is used more and more by developers for many purposes.
